U S JOURNALIST IN PRISON


The administration of IRAN granted it's permission to the parents of 29 year old Rooksana

Saberi journalist of U. S. A , to visit their daughter now enclosed in the Prison of IRAN. Rooksana

Saberi was accused with charges amounting to Espionage for the U S ,and was sentenced to eight

years in Prison by the Judicial Council of IRAN last week. Daughter of Iraqi father, born in U S

Rooksana Saberi has citizenship in both the Countries, the period of stay in IRAN allotted to her
as a Journalist was up to 2006, violation of this code constructed the way for Imprisonment.


President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has already requested many a times the Administration, to rescue the Journalist enclosed in the Prison. Hillary Clinton also added that, since an enquiry commission has been ordered by IRAN , which will facilitate in the release of the Journalist.

The News agency of Tehran recently reported that Rooksana has filled an appeal against her Imprisonment and the Judicial Council of Iran has ordered an impartial enquiry into the case filled against her.


The Times of India and The Week reports the President of Iran Mohamed Ahamadini Jhad has instructed the General Prosecutor that the accused Journalist should be bestowed the lawful right to argue her case. The Judiciary Head of Tehran passed instructions to handle the case with ethics and accuracy.
